Giant petrels are amongst the biggest predators of emperor penguin chicks. Though the group of emperor penguin chicks managed to stave off the giant petrel from taking away the smallest chick, it was the adelie penguin that came to their rescue! Giant petrels don’t mess with adelie penguins!
